I have tutored and counseled students since working as a residential advisor (for two years) at Washington University. At the St. Louis based university, my major was in a comprehensive interdisciplinary philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience program. I also finished my medical school prerequisites. It is important to not just hear, but understand the ones you instruct. This is the best method of figuring out how to be of help, and something I have always respected in the mentors and teachers who helped me get where I am. It's something I continue to try carrying forward when I work with students. I tutor in algebra, geometry, and calculus as well as physics, English, writing, public speaking, social sciences, and preparation for the ACT and SAT tests and subject areas.I live in Austin, Texas. When not learning or tutoring, I spend time on my interests that include reading, hiking, biking, and going to the movies.
